Story:
Nuby knows from his Uncle -one minute before he dies- that the uncle had
a sexual relationship with his mother and that he should look for Gamal,
his half brother from the uncle, in order to give him his share of
heritage. Raiffa, the uncle's evil widdow stays against every effort
from Nuby, since she doesn't want Gamal to appear and share the heritage
with her. When Nuby –with the help of his lover Affifa- finds Gamal, he
also finds out that he is in a deep gay relationship with a young man
called Ashraf. At first, Ashraf thinks that Gamal is cheating on him
with Nuby, so he hits and kicks him in one of the back street cinemas of
the city till Nuby collapses and gets hospitalized. At the hospital, a
man tries to sexually abuse him, but Nuby begs him not to do that and
gives him his golden watch in order to leave him alone. Meanwhile,
Raiffa plans to kill Gamal by overdriving him with her car, but by
mistake, she kills his boyfriend Ashraf instead. As a consequence, Gamal
suffers from a nervous breakdown and is hospitalized. When Nuby and
Affifa are fed up with the nasty reality of the city, they take Gamal in
the desert and decide to live there, only the three of them. These three
main characters of the film are a symbol for clearance and purity that
couldn't stand the dark side of the city. At the end, we see Nuby and
Affifa kissing and hugging together, while Gamal is riding a horse in
the desert, which is a symbol for having a relationship with a strong
male (substituting his lost love, Ashraf).
