GAY MUSLIM SUPPORT AND NEWS SERVICES.
The premier organization that we know about is probably al-fatiha.org. It describes itself as being dedicated to "muslims who are lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, intersex, questioning, those exploring their sexual orientation or gender identity, and their allies, families and friends." Established in 1998 it is US based and is a registered non-profit, non-governmental organization.
Perhaps much better and more frequently updated than their website are their news pages. Simply the best coverage of news of gay muslim interest anywhere on the net ! Highly recommended.
Or for an in-depth look at cultural aspects of Islamic and gay lifestyles and related issues you can't do better than huriyahmag.com - the "magazine for queer muslims."

FILM
An excellent website covers the making of the documentary "In The Name of Allah" by the well known film maker Parvez Sharma. In the website's own words it is the " world's first documentary to explore the complex intersections of Islam with Gender and Sexuality." Certainly a well produced website with intriguing content, photographs and style.

Here is an interesting article written by Sulayman X founder of the
Queer Jihad website entitled
Islam - Waging a Queer Jihad.
Also well worth a read is this very personal and enlightening piece by Malaysian Mel Ayu -
Was I Born to Be This Way ? The Thoughts of a Muslim Gay In An Oppressed Society
An Arab Lesbian feminist, Irshad Manji, is making waves with her new book "The Trouble with Islam" and she is profiled in
Jerusalem Post - 8 January 2004.
But infinitely more interesting than the article itself is Manji's own website http://www.muslim-refusenik.com/ which contains a lot of news articles and source notes on "The Trouble with Islam" as well as some of her answers to the questions she is asked about regarding her own personal background.
and finally I should mention an article by a Lesbian muslim on her coming out as both muslim and queer at an Ohio university -
The Invisible Queer Muslim.
