Ugandan blogger is sad that both the churches and the mosques in Uganda are constantly portraying gays and lesbians as "stupid, ugly, bad, killer, un-african, evil, and all sorts of things" and that anyone who defends the gay community also finds themselves attacked.

The Reverend D’islva Pampanikoetter in a letter to the Daily Monitor approves of the Church of Uganda's decision to boycott the Lambeth Conference over the issue of gays within the church - "We can now proudly say that Uganda’s Anglican Church belongs to the worldwide movement GAFCON that does not accept gays......In Uganda as a church let us fight the sin of being gay in schools, prisons and in our society. No one will point a finger back at us any more because we cleansed ourselves with GAFCON."

Author of a letter to Uganda's New Vision website says that his experience as a religious person and medical doctor has led to him to see homosexuality as a sickness. "In the medical profession, including psychology, we refer to people who deviate from normal physiological processes as sick or a patient......... When a person has sex through the rear entry of a fellow man or woman, they can be classified under this category."
